the problem
28 old vapes sat around as e-waste: the model was discontinued and nobody produces the replaceable pods anymore. inside each one, a perfectly good lithium cell.
the approach
vapes sourced from friends, cells harvested and tested, then assembled into a 4s7p bank at 14.8V nominal. custom holder designed in shapr3d and printed on a friend's 3d printer, plus a bms from amazon against basic faults.
the outcome
a working 14.8V bank from what would have been trash.
